FEMTOR – The Mentorship Club
FEMTOR- The Mentorship Club is a volunteer-led initiative that supports women members in developing skills to grow through different stages in their careers and realize their full potential.
The club aspires to build a community to:
- Foster practical discussions on professional and personal matter
- Network with industry role models, develop the snowball effect and grow one’s sphere of influence
- Find a way for women members to stay in profession, not just to survive but to thrive
- Promote “Career-Self Reliance”
The club is open to all CFA Society India women members and is designed to pair mentors and mentees to work together and achieve specific goals. Our endeavor is to create mentor-mentee relationships between early to mid-career women charterholders and senior charterholders whereby the latter can provide invaluable and unbiased career-advancing guidance and support to the younger cohort.

Mentor Eligibility
- A CFA Charterholder and full-time member of CFA Society India
- CFA Charterholder with atleast 10 years of work experience
- Willingness to share knowledge and experience and assist a mentee in identification of goals/objectives and their subsequent attainment
- Passion and flair for supporting and giving back to the younger members of the society
- Prior experience of mentoring, although not necessary, will be a plus
- Willing to commit to one-to-one mentoring with monthly online / face-to-face meetings – for one mentorship cycle of 4-6 months
BE A MENTEE
Why be a Mentee?
- Develop a clear focus on career development goals
- Find ways of attaining those goals through guidance from senior pros
- Improve technical and/or soft skills
- Expand professional networks
- In short, take your career to the next level!
Mentee Eligibility
- A CFA Charterholder and full-time member of CFA Society India
- Driven towards achieving professional and personal growth
- Prepared to work hard in the mentorship program, including setting goals and acting upon the mentor’s advice to achieve those goals – in short, put in the effort that this program demands
- Proactive in scheduling meetings, setting agendas, and reporting on the progress
- CFA Charterholder with at least 4 years of work experience
- Receptive to feedback and constructive criticism, and ready to assume responsibility for her own growth
- Willing to commit to one-to-one mentoring with monthly online / face-to-face meetings – Minimum 2 hours in a month, for one mentorship cycle of 4-6 months
