COVID’s impact has accelerated the adoption of an already fast growing Edtech sector in India. Edtech companies have raised a total of USD 1 billion in the first half of 2020 and have seen the entry of marquee growth stage investors like Silver Lake, General Atlantic and Tiger Global.
We are excited to invite Sajith Pai, Director at Blume Ventures to cover India’s Edtech landscape, Blume’s Edtech thesis and learnings from their journey with Unacademy from Seed to Unicorn and beyond.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Sajith is a long-time media executive turned VC. At Blume, Sajith supports investments in edtech, hrtech & agritech amongst other sectors, while simultaneously helping Blume build a research and knowledge platform.
Sajith is a prolific writer – his writings cover startups and ecommerce to culture and education, and have been published in Scroll, Quartz, Buzzfeed & The Times of India. He is based in Noida.
ABOUT THE MODERATOR:
Jai leads investments for Singapore Angel Network (SGAN), an early-stage VC anchored by the multi-billion dollar Thakral Group. He was previously a part of EY’s Transaction Advisory team where he conducted Business Valuations for investments and M&A.
Jai received his CFA Charter in 2019 and has a Bachelor’s in Commerce from Delhi University.
